How To Throw A Holiday Party

There are many times that we can get together and celebrate. However, when we have a national holiday, personal celebration or event they seem to be the most memorable. I can remember that last July I sat on my porch enjoying 4th of July Cocktails with my friends and family. It was one of the best times I had ever had.

Prepare for your event

You want to make sure that you stop and prepare for your event long before you have it. Waiting for the last minute will only leave you missing out on supplies or having to settle for something different.

I find that one of the easiest things to do is ask your friends about what they want. However, if you are throwing a holiday party for several people it might be easier if you ask your guests instead of each individual guest. This way you make sure that everyone likes the same type of drink, and you can make sure that you have the right number of drinks that everyone likes or wants.

For my 4th of July party, I had asked all of my guests if they would prefer something fruity or with alcohol.  This was a good thing to know beforehand so I wouldn’t run out of one drink too soon and not have another type for guest who didn’t like the first choice.  I also asked them if they wanted something that would taste better with ice and that was slightly on the sweeter side, or on the sour or bitter end of the spectrum.

It is important to know how many people you are going to invite for your event. Then based off of a guest list, you must prepare.  Beer pong tables can be rented for a small fee but the tables and cups will have to be bought first. I would also recommend that you either get big plastic trash cans or buckets with lids.  These are great for keeping your ice cold if you don’t have room in your refrigerator and they can be filled with ice for you to keep your drinks cold.  Make sure that they have lids on them so if someone spills their drink it will stay inside and not get all over the floor.
